Here is a modern rendition of Pixar's famous '1984' image, which was one of, if not THE first image to feature motion blur. It completely turned the industry on its head and introduced a new era of CGI. fxguide.com posted an article on the original image, and asked for modern renditions of it.
The image above was created in Cinema4D in about three hours.
